The third installment to "The Amazing Spider-Man" movie has been pushed back to give way for a new movie called "Sinister Six." Actor Dane DeHaan, who is remembered for his portrayal of Green Goblin in the second movie, is allegedly as confused with the film schedule.

According to Fashion & Style, DeHaan allegedly admitted that he had no idea how much time he will have to set aside for the franchise. In DeHaan's own words: "Honestly, I'm finding out about stuff at the same time as other people."

When asked about the newly announced movie, DeHaan told Fashion & Style that "Sinister Six" will feature "six bad guys in the Spider-Man universe." He also likened it to "The Avengers," the main difference being that the six will be bad guys instead of heroes.

Movie Pilot reports that previous "Daredevil" showrunner Drew Goddard is on board to write and direct "Sinister Six." The movie is allegedly a stand-alone film, but KpopStarz mentions that it could be the introduction to Mary Jane. Director Marc Webb says that Peter Parker's recovery from Gwen Stacy's death will be a central theme in the upcoming movie.

"The Amazing Spider-Man 3" was initially set for a 2016 release, but as things stand, it will now be shown in 2018. According to Movie Pilot, the change could be a way to make room for Shailene Woodley to play as Mary Jane after she finishes working on "Divergent." Woodley's scenes for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 have already been shot, but did not make it to the big screen, adds KpopStarz.

There is no official confirmation yet on which six villains will be featured in the movie, but Fashion & Style is speculating that DeHaan's re-appearance as Green Goblin alongside Jamie Foxx as Electro and Paul Giamatti as Rhino. The article also lists Doctor Octopus and Vulture as likely additions, seeing as their costumes have been shown in the second "Amazing Spider-Man" movie. However, Movie Pilot has a different prediction, with the six composed of Green Goblin, Rhino, Vulture, Doctor Octopus, Kraven The Hunter, and either Mysterio or Chamelion.

A female-led superhero movie has also been announced, which is slated for 2017. Movie Pilot speculates that the movie will feature Silver Sable, Stunner, Black Cat, Spider-Woman, or Firestar as the lead. A spin-off movie for Venom is also allegedly in the words according to website Whatever a Spider Can.

"Sinister Six" is scheduled for release in November 11, 2016, while "The Amazing Spider-Man 3" has been moved to 2018.
