The chemistry between Divergent stars Shailene Woodley and Theo James is undeniable, but the two are adamant in saying that their relationship doesn't go beyond onscreen.

Rumors about the two have been gaining traction in the gossip boards lately, especially after Theo admitted that he really set himself to kiss Shailene aggressively during one of their scenes. This latest addition to the rumor mill started after Theo James' interview with MTV News with correspondent Josh Horowitz. Kdramastars recounts that the Divergent actor unabashedly admitted that he kissed Shailene hard during the train scene; exactly how he thought she would like it.

According to him, it was the best approach that could help alleviate the rather awkward situation. Fortunately, he seemed to have chosen the right approach because it has turned into one of the most favorite moments of fans of the movie.

Despite this, both Shailene and Theo openly admitted that they are not dating. Shailene has repeatedly announced that they are nothing more than just good friends, Breathecast reports. Shailene said, "I have zero expectations and zero rules. I'm open. I can't see it being another actor, except that they understand this lifestyle."

Additionally, Theo James seems to be loyally dedicated to girlfriend Ruth Kearney as well. Despite the real life couple's private relationship, the two seem to be going strong more than ever after three years of being together. According to Classicalite.com, the two met back in school when Theo was still in Britain.

This completely dispels rumors that the 29-year old actor completely left his long-term flame immediately after his career started taking off. In other news, Theo seems to be actively moving on with his career after he won "Best Actor in an Action Movie" in the 2014 Teen Choice Awards, Fashion & Style reports. Additionally, The Hollywood Greek Reporter recently added that James would be cast in the film adaptation of Sebastian Barry's The Secret Scripture where he is said to take on the role of a local Catholic priest.
