'Vikings' Season 4 Spoilers: EP Michael Hirst on the possible death of Ragnar; Bjorn to be hailed as the new king?

Michael Hirst teased the possibility of King Ragnar's death in 'Vikings' Season 4. The executive producer added that Bjorn Ironside will serve as his successors to the throne. Other than that, the synopsis suggests that he will be facing a lot of difficulties which includes his wife Aslaug.

Executive producer Michael Hirst teased The Hollywood Reporter that King Ragnar Lodbrok (Travis Fimmel) may die in the 4th season. Hirst said "It's very important to note that he's not only sick, he's hovering from life and death. Travis has been absolutely charismatic and magnificent. But by that stage his sons will be young, hot guys and hopefully the audience will already be engaged with them and wants to follow them."

In addition to that, King Ragnar will be replaced by his sons in the 4th season of 'Vikings' as reported on Christian Today. Most notably Bjorn Ironside (Alexander Ludwig), Ivar the Boneless and Sigurd "Snake-in-the-Eye" are expected to rise to the throne as their father's successors after Ragnar was severely injured in a Paris siege.

On the side note, the official synopsis states that Ragnar will face a lot of difficulties in 'Vikings' Season 4. This includes having a difficult situation in his marriage with his wife Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland) as mentioned on Day Herald.

The executive producer of 'Vikings' teased that there is a possibility that someone might die in the 4th season. In addition to that, the deceased character will be replaced by his young and hot sons. The synopsis for the newest season has been revealed as well.

'Vikings' Season 4 has been officially confirmed to return to History Channel next year. However, no specific premiere date has been announced yet.
