"It was a literal flip of the table for me." said Stephenie Meyer.

The author of the 'Twilight series' says she is done with the Cullens as reported by Entertainment Weekly . Meyer brings the disappointing news to fans telling everyone that her book 'Midnight Sun' is no longer happening.

Twilight spinoff 'Midnight Sun' is the same phenomenal forbidden love story but it's written in the 107-year-old vampire Edward Cullen's perspective. But in 2008, 12 chapters of the book were leaked online making 'Twihards' go crazy. This clearly upset the author as she shared in her website StephenieMeyer.com.

But according to techinsider, Meyer had recently written two more paragraphs for the book which elicited another excited response to the audience before bursting their bubbles with her bad news.

"I have a feeling 'Midnight Sun' is somewhat cursed," the author said in the recent New York Comic-Con. At first it seemed she was only referring to the leakage but then she added E.L. James into the picture.

"So what do you think was the top story on Yahoo the next morning? 'Grey.'"

The popular erotic series 'Fifty Shades of Grey' started as a fanfiction based on Twilight. The story was told in 'Grey's' perspective which would be rather similar to how 'Midnight Sun' is told in Edward Cullen's point of view. Thus Meyer is giving up on the book.

Meyer gained a personal fortune of $125 million through Twilight as cited by Dailymail. Now instead of 'Midnight Sun' she is promoting her 442 pages 'Life and Death' story that purports to be a gender-swapped retelling of 'Twilight'.

"I want to say this is not a real book, and I am totally aware of this." Meyer said in a report of People Magazine.

Either Meyer is completely over Twilight or not, there is hardly any chance for fans to revisit the world of Edward and Bella where names are not changed and roles are not swapped.
