'Once Upon A Time' Season 5 Spoilers: Show To Feature Two-Hour Adventure-Themed Episode, Flashbacks for Hook, and More

"Once Upon A Time" season 5 will continue to bring more surprises to its loyal followers. Now on its third week, the series which stars Jennifer Morrison is yet to uncork a supersized episode later in the season, while also giving viewers a peek into the backstory of Capt. Hook. The ABC smash is also set to celebrate its 100th episode in early 2016.

As previewed by co-creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis in a report from TV Line, "Once Upon A Time" will giveaway a Hook-centric flashback scene in season 5. “We’ll see Hook as a little boy,” teases Kitsis. To this end, the show will also introduce Hook’s father – who’s yet to be cast -- on the upcoming installment.

Additionally, Hook’s storyline will get more beefed-up as he will be seen going through an exiciting quest with Lana Parilla’s character. “We’re going to see an adventure with Hook and the Evil Queen,” Horowitz previewed.

In other Once developments, viewers should also expect for a special supersized episode later this fall. “The creators are planning an extended two-hour episode to air on Nov. 15, which will feature an adventure with characters Merida (Amy Manson), Mulan (Jamie Chung) and Ruby (Meghan Ory),” Variety has shared.

To whet the fans’ appetite for the aforementioned arc, showrunner Adam Horowitz has shared a behind-the-scenes photo featuring co-stars Manson, Chung and Ory via Twitter this week. “Here's a sneak peek at @jamiechung1 & @amymansonlondon & Meghan Ory on #OnceUponATime #Mulan #Red #Merida,” Horowitz wrote.

What’s more, "Once Upon A Time" season 5 will also celebrate its 100th episode milestone this year – a monumental event which fans should definitely look forward to that is slated to air on March 6th.

The plot of "Once Upon A Time" season 5 has definitely just got thicker. It is expected that these new developments and exciting adventures to be unveiled in the coming episodes will not only boost its ratings, but also gain positive reviews from the viewers. 

"Once Upon A Time" airs every Sunday at 8PM on ABC.
