'Elementary' Season 4 Update: Showrunner And EP Robert Doherty Promises Exciting Season, Sherlock Holmes Will Have Troubled Relationship With NYPD And Watson

"Elementary" Season 4 will be featuring Sherlock Holmes' estranged father and the executive producer of the show, Robert Doherty, promised that the upcoming season will be very exciting. Other spoilers include Holmes' relationship with the NYPD and his partner, Joan Watson, will be in jeopardy.

According to International Business Times, the Season 4 premiere of "Elementary" will be featuring Sherlock Holmes' situation after he had a relapse. In the season 3 finale, he was seen snapping and returning to being addicted. In the end, he assaulted his roommate Oscar.

In the premiere episode, Sherlock will be seen trying to put his life on track again and his estranged father, Morland Holmes, played by John Noble, will be helping him get through his relapse although Sherlock is not thrilled about his arrival.

According to a statement released by executive producer and series creator of the show, Robert Doherty, they are delighted that Noble is part of the series' season 4 and they cannot wait to see him acting alongside the other casts of the show. He promised the fans that it will be a very exciting season.

In an article by Vine Report, Robert Doherty was quoted saying, "In the first season, we made a point of saying that Dad never shows up when he says he will. But I think it's time. I would very much like to meet Dad and explore this very complicated dynamic that we've been alluding to over the last two seasons."

Meanwhile, other spoilers were also revealed and it is about the partnership of Sherlock to Dr. Joan Watson and the NYPD. His relationship with them will be in jeopardy in "Elementary" Season 4 because of his violence, Screen Fad reported. Despite the trouble, he will be working on a case of a missing wife believed to have been killed by her own husband.

"Elementary" Season 4 will be back on CBS by November 5 at 10 P.M.
