Samsung will be unveiling its next flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 5 in the coming months. It was touted to take over Galaxy Note 4's throne. But before that, fans should see how it fairs with Apple's upcoming iPhone 6s Plus.

The design of the Note 5 will be the same as the Galaxy S6/S6 edge. It will have the metal wrap design on the side and a Gorilla Glass 4 which will arm the phablet from front to back, Phone Arena reported. It will also have the Super AMOLED 5.7 inch display with a Quad HD screen and a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels.

Under the hood, the Galaxy Note 5 will be run on Android 5.1.1 with Touchwiz UI (user interface) newest version, the report added. In addition, it will be backed up with an octa core, 64-bit Exynos 7 Octa 7420 chipset manufactured with 14nm technology, 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and ultra-fast native storage, Phone Arena points out.

On the other hand, despite its good points, the phone review website noted the phablet's removal of the two key components, the microSD slot, and removable batteries might work against them this time.

These features, according to experts, were the distinctions and probably the strongest selling points of Samsung against Apple. But until its release, who knows if it will be a win or burden for the Korean consumer electronics giant.

Jumping to Apple's iPhone 6s Plus, many believed that the next Apple flagship phablet will again dominate the market due to its older brothers (iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus) success. However, there are some experts who doubt if the next phablets will overcome the success of its predecessors.

The about to be released iPhone 6s Plus will have a 5.5-inch backlit IPS LCD with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels at 401 ppi, which will make the viewing angles superb and color reproduction excellent, Android Pit published. Inside, it will boast its own dual core 1.4GHz ARM based system A8 processor, which is according to the tech website, a zilch compared to the Exynos.

However, since Apple controls the phablet's operating system, it can and may optimize the iPhone 6s Plus very well regardless of how poor the processor is. The device will only have 1 GB of on-board RAM and will come in variants 16, 64 or 128 GB.

On finality, Apple, as everyone knows, has dominated the market for the longest time with regard to the smartphones, tablets, and phablets. However, Tech News Today cited that with Samsung's preparation, the Korean multi-billion dollar company may come out as the winner for this looming battle.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will take its pride on its processor and its speed while the iPhone 6s Plus will be using, first and foremost, its popularity in the market and second the in-house operating system that can and will optimize the phablet's capability.
