Tech giant Apple is rumored to bring back the budget friendly 4-inch screen smartphones, but it will not be released with the slightly larger phablets that they have been offering since last year.

It was also rumored, early this year, that the iPhone 5s successor iPhone 6c will be released with the iPhone 6s this year, but Apple pushed back the release date of the smaller iPhone on next year. This move, according to Apple, is in consideration with the phablet's success, numerous sources said.

According to University Herald, the C models were purposely held back by the Cupertino-based company in order to not compete with the S models, which had been very successful since its launch last year. In addition, the S models will be formally launched by September. The upcoming 6s and 6s Plus models is expected to have Apple's Force Touch Technology, which made its debut with the new MacBook Airs and recent iPads.

Meanwhile, the C model(s), according to sources from the semiconductor industry, will be formally launched next year, 2nd Quarter to be exact, and was reported to be equipped with the 14/16nm FinFET chipset, similar to what the upcoming 6s' will be having.

The 14/16nm chipset is a product by a Taiwan-based company TSMC and Apple's rival Samsung, Mac Rumors cited. According to the report, the chipset will bring better performance and lower power consumption which the old Apple chipsets failed to provide, most especially on the power consumption side.

It is also unheard of for the company to release a phone on the second quarter of the year, considering that past iPhones, such as the first iPhone, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 4 were all released in June, but the release, will definitely veer away from Apple's common practice, since 2011, of releasing an iPhone in the early fall.

In addition to the 6s and 6s Plus release on September, Christian Post also mentioned that the more affordable 2016 MacBook Air will also be launched a month on October.

The MacBook Air is expected to be priced at a more affordable price of $899 apiece, which will make its competitors on their toes considering that it is $100 cheaper than its older brother that has a very impressive numbers in the market, against its competitors.

With these moves and market strategies this year, and probably the 2nd  Quarter of 2016 with the rumored release of the iPhone 6c, Apple is expected to once again dominate the market with the  upcoming iPhone 6s and 6s Plus release.
