For the fans of "Sense8," the announcement for the renewal of the show is already taking too long. Various reports claim that the series will be renewed this week while some speculates that it will get the axe soon.  But Netflix may have a valid reason for holding off any official announcement.

Realty Today reported that "Sense8" fans may finally get the renewal that they've been hoping for since the end of its first season. Ever since co-creator J. Michael Straczynski attended the San Diego Comic-Con 2015 and announced his optimism about the show's renewal, fans have been hopeful as well.

Straczynski revealed that Netflix representatives previously told him that viewers watched "Sense8" Season 1 "straight through - three, four, six times," and even gave a fearless forecast that he will get some news from the streaming giant within two weeks.

However, a report by Netflix Life claim that Netflix still has to consider a lot of things before it greenlits another season.

The site mentioned that with "Sense8" season 1 gaining much popularity, Netflix is not planning to cancel the show but rather carefully planning its future. Because of its ambitious plot and with eight actors on the lead, shooting in a lot of studios and different locations around the world, making another season is not that cheap and easy.

Co-creator J. Michael Straczynski revealed at San Diego Comic-Con that he and the Wachowskis siblings already have a 30-page plan for the series. However, translating that plan into a show is a different story.

We previously reported that although some viewers think that there are way too much intimate scenes during the first season, the sophomore season might still feature more telepathic, intimate scenes between the sensates if Netflix decides to renew it.

The future of "Sense8" remains uncertain at the moment since Netflix still has to plan the show's future carefully before pursuing it. All the fans could do right now is wait and speculate.
