The Beatle Paul Mccartney cannot read music, according to his ex-wife Heather Mills, who is solely responsible for  the music education of their eleven year old daughter Beatrice because of the inability of the music legend to read music.

Heather Mills, the former wife of Sir Paul Mccartney has told in an interview that she is teaching their daughter the saxophone. She is in charge of teaching music to Beatrice because her father cannot read music.

In an interview with The Guardians she revealed she is responsible for their only child's musical education. She said that Beatrice believed that she was 99 per cent like her mother.

She said: 'I don't know if that's a good thing. I think she's got the best of both of us, we're both very musical. I taught her the saxophone, because her father can't read music so I do all the music teaching, and I'm good with languages. She's a brilliant poet so obviously (she) gets that from him, but I think she's got the best of both of us."

Mills, 47 and McCartney, 73 were married from 2002 to 2008 and had a daughter Beatrice who is now 11. Mccartney went on to marry Nancy Shevell in 2011.

Music legend Paul - who gained worldwide fame as the bassist of British rock band the Beatles - after nearly 60 years as an active musician, is still one of the most prolific touring artists. He has an ongoing concert tour "Out There" which began in May 2013 with three concerts in Brazil and has included concerts on four continents: North America, South America, Europe and Asia.. He had a recent sold out performance in Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia last June 21.

He is set to headline with Metallica and Florence and the Machine in the 2015 Lollapalooza Festival which rolls into Chicago's Grant Park July 31st through August 2nd. McCartney will serve as the Friday night headliner.

Mccartney's representatives declined to comment on Mill's statement. Paul and Heather divorced acrimoniously in 2008 and Heather - who was married to Alfie Karmal in 1989 for two years - admitted she has nothing nice to say about her second husband.
