'The Following' Season 4 Update: Netflix Still Undecided If They Will Stream The Series; Cast Members Already Said Their Goodbyes

"The Following" Season 4 remains to be in limbo after FOX announced that they already cancelled the show's upcoming season. Fans are still wondering if Netflix will be adapting the series and streaming it on the said network but that remains to be a mystery.

According to Cross Map, The Following Season 3 final episode left a lot of major questions about the show as the producers of the show were not able to re-write and re-shoot the last episode of the previous season. Ryan was left for dead while his girlfriend Gwen is already pregnant.

The last episode of Season 3 aired last May 18 and the cancellation of the show and the announcement was given to them on May 8, as previously reported.  Despite the cancellation, Warner Bros. Television is still looking for a new home for the series so that the fourth season will continue to air. Rumors surfaced saying that the show will be adapted by Hulu but the network immediately denied this. As for Netflix, there have been no updates about this possibility yet.

Meanwhile, Master Herald reported that the American thriller drama T.V. series' cast members already said farewell to the fans so the fate of the show remains unknown. Kevin Bacon, the actor who plays the role of the show's main character, former FBI Agent Ryan Hardy, took to Twitter to say goodbye and thank the loyal fans of "The Following."

Fans would like to see more of Ryan Hardy and if he survived his imminent death. Also, serial killer Joe Caroll, played by actor James Purefoy, remains to be a fan-favorite as fans still want to continue seeing his mind games with Hardy in the series. Also, fans would like to know who Eliza is working for so they are keeping their fingers crossed that Netflix will be picking up on the cancelled Fox series.
