'Fast and Furious 8' to entail Paul Walker tribute again; Vin Diesel reveals Ronda Rousey, Eva Mendes joining cast
During the CinemaCon in Las Vegas Vin Diesel announced the release date of the 'Fast and Furious 8' which will be on the 14th of April, 2017. The upcoming film will be a tribute to his co-star and friend Paul Walker who died just before the 'Fast and Furious 7' was released.
Vin Diesel is maybe the 'Fast and Furious' franchise's 'spokesman' as he is always the one who delivers or announces all that relate to the film. Recently, he just posted a photo on Instagram with what appeared to be like a logo for the film 'Fast and Furious 8.'
'Fast and Furious 8' will be joined by three actresses to name Ronda Rousey, Eva Mendes and Joanna Jedrzejczyk. Mendes did not confirm yet about reprising her role who appeared in '2 Fast 2 Furious' as United States Customs Agent Monica Fuentes.
Joanna Jedrzejczyk is a mixed martial artist while Ronda Rousey is an actress and UFC Champion. Rousey said that Joanna might be her opponent in the 'Fast and Furious 8.' "I think it would be a such a cool addition - someone who looks really unassuming. I know I look good in a Herve Leger dress, but I also look like I could still kill you in it, and Joanna doesn't!" said Rousey.
'Fast and Furious 8' is now believed to be shot in the streets of New York, as Diesel had mentioned this few weeks ago. Diesel also said that the "Fast and Furious 7 was for Paul, and 8 is from Paul."
The forthcoming movie's storyline would be about Kurt Russell's appearance as Mr. Nobody. In an interview, Vin Diesel said "Kurt Russell came in for this movie but we really hired him for a story that follows this, that takes place in New York."
Jason Statham appearing again in the next film hasn't been confirmed yet, but talks have surfaced about Dwayne Johnson's return. Though the seventh installment was a huge success, director James Wan's seat might be vacant as he is very busy with some other projects and might not return anymore.
