Marvel fans haven't even seen this summer's Fantastic Four reboot yet, and already the buzz is swirling about 2017's follow-up, Fantastic Four 2. It's just been revealed that the next adventure for this modern, grim-and-gritty superteam has some stiff competition. The weekend in June 2017 that the Fantastic Four had squirreled away in advance will now feature a follow-up to World War Z as well. And the sequel to My Big Fat Greek Wedding, although that one's probably not fighting for the same blockbuster bucks as superheroes and zombies will.

These same-weekend competitions have happened before- most famously, with Captain America: Civil War and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, both of which were originally slated for the same weekend in May. In that instance, WB backed down and bumpe Batman vs Superman up to March of 2016. Will the same happen with Fantastic Four vs World War Z? It all depends on how well the first Fantastic Four does this summer, most likely. If audiences love the rebooted First Family, World War Z might have to slink off to new summer territory.

There's one other major question for Fantastic Four 2: who's the villain? In this summer's film, the Fantastic Four- played by MIles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Bell, will face off against Doctor Doom, played by Toby Kebbell. In the original films, Doom was the first villain, and Galactus the second, but if Fox's new reboots are trying to avoid the first, the sequel will probably see the Fantastic Four battle Annihilus. Annihilus is an insectoid super-creature from the Negative Zone, which is reportedly included in the first film (as well, some early rumors even had Annihilus in the first film).

Who will we see in the Fantastic Four 2? How well will the Fantastic Four prevail this summer? How long before Marvel Studios gets back the Fantastic Four rights they so desperately crave (only then can the Avengers fight Galactus, after all). All will be revealed this summer- Fantastic Four hits theaters on August 7, 2015.s
