GoPro Hero 5 specs rumored to include 4K 3D videos; release date delayed for improved features

GoPro Hero 5 rumored specs will outshine Xiaomi Yi Action Camera and other competition. The release date was reportedly delayed to October this year and as far as 2016 to make way for upgrades.  

Earlier this year, Go Pro was faced with its budget version Xiaomi Yi Action Camera with amazing specs for a mere $64. Yi is a 16 MP camera with twice as much frames recorded and accommodates 128 GB storage as compared to GoPro Hero. Its also WiFi capable. Its GoPro's turn to showoff and its rumored specs is guaranteed to turn the tide.  

Based on the leaked Hero 5 features, GoPro seems determined to defend its reign in the action camera arena. Its laying all its cards. A reported A10 chip to allow 4K resolution with 60 frames per second, dual-lens for 3D video recording capability, more than twice as much battery life, improved water-proofing upto 60 meters deep and an expected cutting-edge collaboration with GoPro channel. These rumored features doesn't just ensure GoPro's position in the market compared to the current selling points of its compeititor, these will also make Hero 5 the first of its kind. To ensure delivery of these radical enhancement, GoPro reportedly delayed its release date. 

GoPro Hero 5 release date was reportedly set at later date to make time for its unprecedented upgrade. Reports say that Hero 5 release date could be pushed back as far as next and as early as October this year. According to sources, GoPro's priority is to secure top-tier developments before the release of its latest flagship. 

Provided there's truth to these rumored specs, GoPro's competition response is quite an impressive feat for both fans and stakeholders. Although they've got to keep themselves on top of the game due to major competitors' capability not just with edgy features but with price considerations as well.
