Apple had definitely made its mark in the smart phone industry with the consecutive successful releases of its new devices and even up to now, the company has still more in store for its fans. But after all the successes, this time would be the right time for the Cupertino-based company to showcase once again its roots as it revs up the next generation iPod. After all, the iPod era had once dominated the scene with its quality function.

The iPod Touch 5^th gen which was released 3 years ago was considered to be just satisfactory as compared to its outstanding predecessors. However, it was still welcomed by the market since the trend during that time was on MP3 media player and apps. But as the company had resorted to manufacturing iPhones which carried the same features as that of the iPod, the hype on the classic Apple device had died down. So as September 2015 approaches, Apple is to officially launch the iPod Touch 6^th gen together with the latest iPhones.

New Features and Price

The iPod Touch 6^th Gen will be featuring similar features from the latest iPhones of this era. Particularly, the Apple Pay which is Apple's mobile payment system will be one of the latest additions to the new iPod Touch model. As reported by Master Herald, the iPod Touch 6^th gen will be water-resistant, Siri ready, and include a Touch ID fingerprint sensor. Its A9 processor will be better and faster compared to the one used in the iPhone 6.

The iPod Touch 6^th Gen will have longer battery life, an 8 Mp iSight camera, and compatible to the iWatch. The next generation iPod is said to come in two display variants - the 4.7 inch model and the 5.5 inch model, both of which features a Retina display.  It will have a 1 GB RAM which may be upgraded to 128 GB via microSD card and is available in six color designs, silver, pink, red, blue, space gray, and yellow.  The iPod Touch 6^th Gen will have a price range of $250 to $300 depending on the variant.
