Captain America: Civil War is going to pit two of Marvel's biggest heroes against each other in a huge way next year. Captain America, played by Chris Evans, takes on Iron Man, played by Robert Downey, Jr. We can obviously guess who's going to win this one- no offense to Iron Man, but Captain America's name is in the movie's title. Him winning in the end seems kind of like an obvious choice.

So where does that leave Iron Man? Robert Downey Jr's character will be sticking around in the Marvel Universe (he's been rumored for a part in the new Spider-Man reboot, as well as both Avengers: Infinity War films), but a new rumor places him in a very different position than we'd thought previously. According to What Culture, Iron Man's going to be so heartbroken by the events in the end of the film that he's going to fly up into space and not come back.

This, of course, means Iron Man is likely to appear in future Marvel movies set in space- Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Thor: Ragnarok, Captain Marvel and Inhumans.

As well, Charlie Cox (who plays Daredevil in the Netflix series) has expressed an interest in appearing in Civil War, but according to the actor, it may not be likely. Says Cox to IGN:

"Well he's in the comics, but I think they're already... I think I might have missed that boat... So unless someone watches the show and falls so madly in love with it that they decide to get me in for a day, that would be great, but I have no idea."

Daniel Bruhl was also recently cast in the film. Bruhl will be playing Baron Zemo, one of Captain America's most famous nemeses from Marvel Comics, who will be having an integral role in the battle between Captain America and Iron Man.

Captain America: Civil War will premiere in theaters on May 6, 2016.
