Despite the scarce information about its production, it was recently revealed that "Prometheus 2" will be subtitled "Hell on Earth." Based on the said title, previous speculations that the sequel will take place on the outer space were debunked. A recent report claim that there are unexpected subplots in the movie including David's hidden agenda and Elizabeth Shaw's death.

With how things ended in "Prometheus," fans thought that the main plot lines of the sequel will be about David and Shaw's journey to the Engineer's planet. A recent report however, claims that "Prometheus 2: Hell on Earth" will not only be about the two's quest. In fact, the movie will not focus on the Engineer's home but on Earth. The sequel will also house a bigger cast and will have a Blade Runner-esque feel to it.

"Prometheus 2: Hell on Earth" will also not give Elizabeth Shaw the answers she's looking for since the first movie. According to Ridley Scott, the Engineer's planet won't be revealed until the third movie. Shaw will apparently die in the sequel and a new female military will replace her. The new female lead is among the new human characters in "Prometheus 2" who went to the space together with a private military team sponsored by Wayland and detected Shaw's spaceship.

David's character will have an interesting development. It was previously reported that there will be more Davids in the sequel reinforced by the military team. However, the original David was reported to be playing God in the sequel. It is still unknown as to how that would happen but it is safe to assume that since Wayland died in the first movie, perhaps David will have more control of his thoughts that could possibly be polluted eventually.

Production details about "Prometheus 2: Hell on Earth" is still being kept under wraps but with the revelation of its title, it is quite clear now that previous speculations about the sequel are not true. However, even recent details should be taken with a grain of salt as 20th Century Fox is still yet to make official statements.
