Prometheus 2 is expected to hit the silver screen on March 4, 2016. Recent reports reveal that the plot of the film will show David and Shaw falling in love as they head towards to the home planet of the Engineer. There are also indication that "Prometheus 2" will be linked with "Alien 5" universe. Neill Blomkamp and Ridley Scott has yet to make an official statement.

JOURNEY TO THE ENGINEER'S HOMEWORLD

A plot leak recently circulated online revealing the possible events that will take place in "Prometheus 2." The movie will follow David and Shaw's quest to discover the planet of the Engineer and will try to answer the questions left by the first movie. Fans also suggest that an odd love story between Shaw and the loyal robot is not entirely impossible to develop. Other buzz surrounding the film suggests that some parts of the original screenplay for "Alien" will be included in "Prometheus 2."

"Prometheus 2" will push through despite slow development as proven by the recent plot leak that circulated online. According to a report, Ridley Scott is planning to pick up the story of the sequel from David and Shaw's journey to the Engineer's planet. A writer from the Blade Runner (another classic from Ridley Scott) sequel was tapped to write the draft of "Prometheus 2." The report also said that there will be a military style team with more than one David to back up a bigger group as they go to the moon.

Speaking of David (played by Michael Fassbender), "Prometheus" implied that the advanced robot has a penchant for Shaw. It was even revealed that he watches her dreams while she's asleep. Now that Weyland is dead, no one is in control of David in "Prometheus 2" but himself. Driven by his curiosity, he could develop a sincere and deep liking to Shaw which could rise conflict in the story or helm an odd love story.

ALIEN 5 UNIVERSE

The biggest question in "Prometheus 2" however, if it will share universe with the upcoming "Alien 5," a franchise that Ridley Scott also started. One of the interesting information from the leak is the connection between the planet LV-223 in "Prometheus" and the LV-426 of "Alien." Neill Blomkamp said that he is making adjustments in "Alien 5" to avoid conflict with the storyline of "Prometheus 2." Diehards of the two franchises noticed that the corpse in a wrecked ship that the team discovered in "Alien" could be the Engineer that died in "Prometheus." Ridley Scott and Neill Blomkamp will definitely make sci-fi fans jump to the moon and back if they decide to merge two films in one universe.

"Prometheus 2" will focus on David and Shaw's journey to the Engineer's planet to answer some of the biggest questions left unanswered by the first movie. Whether an out-of-this-world love story between David and Shaw will happen in the sequel is still something that fans should watch out for aside from a possible connection between the movie and Neill Blomkamp's "Alien 5." "Prometheus 2" is slated for a March 2016 release.
