"X-Men: Apocalypse" isn't slated to premiere until 2016, but as we're all intimitely aware of by now, superhero franchises are nothing if not forward-thinking. Marvel Studios have their future sequels planned out through 2021 at least. Warner Bros. has at least ten more superhero films they're planning as part of a Justice League crossover. Naturally, Fox would have to have some future plans involving the X-Men, right?

That seems to be the case, given that MoviePilot recently published a slew of rumors about the villain for the X-Men film that'll come after "X-Men: Apocalypse." They have a number of ideas about which villain might show up after the all-powerful En Sabah Nur (that would be Apocalypse, who'll be played by Oscar Isaac in the film). Of the many villains they're predicting, MoviePilot says that the Friends of Humanity, the U-Men, Mister Sinister, Shadow King and the Reavers are the most likely villains, but Mister Sinister in particular stands out. As a henchman of Apocalypse, Mister Sinister would tie nicely into "X-Men: Apocalypse" as a sequel villain; as well, as a major character and a charismatic villain, he could easily carry an X-Men film by himself.

As well, we also know another major character who'll be terrorizing "X-Men: Apocalypse"- Ben Hardy, who was recently cast as Angel in the film, may actually be playing the much more menacing Archangel. New rumors point to the villainous version of the character, who in the comics is a servant of Apocalypse, and not the heroic version, who was already a character in a previous X-Men film, "X-Men: The Last Stand."

Olivia Munn, who was recently cast as Psylocke in "X-Men: Apocalypse", has also been doing a little teasing. Munn recently posted a few shots of a potential costume on Instagram. The costume is extremely spandex-heavy, which may be a recurring theme with "X-Men: Apocalypse."

"X-Men: Apocalypse" will premiere in theaters on May 27, 2016.
