Finally, the rumors of a Filipino inspired character in the video game "Tekken 7" is finally over. The rumors are actually true and have been confirmed nonetheless but Tekken creator Katsuhiro Harada. His love for Jollibee, a fast-food chain the Philippines brought a different kind of inspiration to the game developer and resulted to an additional Filipino in the famous game.

Katsuhiro Harada, Tekken creator shared on his Twitter account, yesterday March 29, 205 the details about the newly added character in the Tekken 7 game. Josie Rizal named after the Philippine's National Hero Jose Rizal is an expert in Eskrima and kick boxing. He even included a link to the demo play video of the new Filipino character in the game. The new character will be available for game play in a month or so. The character was designed by Maki Shimazaki of the Bayonetta fame.

The image allegedly from Korean fans has been proliferating for more than a week online. The costume of the new female character of the game resembles the Philippine flag and was one of the biggest indicators that the new addition to the Tekken 7 characters is indeed a Filipino.

A Filipino was already included in the characters of the game but does not actually play and look the part. Mokujin's bio claims that it is a Filipino. Mokujin is a wooden training dummy that lived 2,000 years ago. It came back to life to save the Earth once more from evil.

Jin and Devil Jin are also scheduled to return back in the game series in a matter of weeks Jin will be available in the end of March while Devil Jin returns on the 7th of April.

The latest version of the game series was released across several arcades in Japan last March 18 and a steady community and followers has already created a one of a kind bond with the game. Bandai Namco is hopeful that a massive following will follow just like in the earlier versions of the game.
