It'll take a lot to actually make any "Half Life" fan think that something concrete is happening with "Half-Life 3." It's been seven years since the last game in the series- "Half-Life 2: Episode 2," and since then, there's been absolutely no word about a sequel. At all.

At this point it's become kind of a joke to gamers everywhere.

This might sway all those beleaguered gamers, but at least it's something- KpopStarz is claiming that "Half-Life 3" is coming "sooner than expected." Well, considering what's expected is basically "never," sooner is definitely better.

Let's see what they have to say.

According to KpopStarz' reports, Valve founder (and "Half-Life" pioneer) Gabe Newell has anticipated that his audience is mostly fed up with waiting for "Half-Life 3." And KpopStarz claims this might push the release date up a little.

Here's what Newell said in his interview with the Washington Post:

"When we started out we were a single-player video game company that could have been really successful just doing Half-Life sequel after Half-Life sequel, but we collectively said let's try to make multiplayer games even though there's never been a commercial successful multiplayer game."

The latest rumors for "Half-Life 3" have promised that the game would be coming soon, but from Newell's words its hard to ascertain just what "coming soon" might be. A month? A decade? Who knows?

Like in Christian Post, which claims that both "Half-Life 3" and "Left 4 Dead 3" are in the works from Valve (and even that "Half-Life 3" was currently in production). If that's the case, it would cause a massive surge in the industry.

But for right now, let's call it what it is- a rumor. At least until we can see "Half-Life 3" in action.

Check back soon for the latest on "Half-Life 3."
