'Mass Effect 4' May Have Been Delayed on PC, Fans Still Stinging Over 'Mass Effect 3' Ending

Two years later and the ending of "Mass Effect 3" still stings. At least that's the gist of a new piece in Movie Pilot, that discusses the game's much-criticized ending and how it might reflect the franchise moving forward into "Mass Effect 4."

Movie Pilot's take is that the ending isn't nearly as bad as the masses claimed back when it was released (an ending that, after a series that constantly touted how the player was in control of the story and could cause drastic differences over the course of three games, came down to a choice between three very similar endings filtered over with different colors).

And because of that, we should look more to "Mass Effect 3" for what to do right in "Mass Effect 4." Movie Pilot suggests merging several multiplayer elements- most importantly, the varied play styles between races- as a key factor of "Mass Effect 4."

But some might not be looking to the controversial third game in the series for developing the fourth outing. Like "Mass Effect" producer Michael Gamble, who sent out a Tweet last July polling the fans for ideas for the fourth "Mass Effect" game.

And if he's asking the fans, chances are he knows to expect a lot of vitriol as far as the third one is concerned.

We don't know much about the game- but most recently, KpopStarz claims that the game might actually have been delayed- at least, the PC version, anyway. They're saying the game has actually been in a playable state for quite a while now, but because of potential issues with the beta and piracy, they're delaying or even cancelling the game.

But that's just conjecture for now- we'll have to wait a bit longer to find out just how Bioware plans to soothe the fans after all that "Mass Effect 3" hubbub.

Check back soon for the latest news on "Mass Effect 4."
