"Sherlock" star Benedict Cumberbatch is a news highlight once again after winning at the 66th Emmy Awards, taking the ALS Ice Bucket challenge to the next level, and keeping his relationship status under wraps.

Cumberbatch is in the middle of several news reports recently, as "Sherlock" took everyone by surprise with its big win at the Emmy Awards. BBC's "Sherlock" himself won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie for his titular role. Cumberbatch bested Chiwetel Ejiofor, Idris Elba, Martin Freeman, Billy Bob Thornton, and Mark Ruffalo for the award, but Entertainment Weekly says he was not present at the Nokia Theatre for the ceremony. Variety also reports "Sherlock's" John Watson, Martin Freeman, bagging the supporting role for the same category, while series creator Steven Moffat won Outstanding Writing for a Miniseries, Movie or Dramatic Special for his work in "Sherlock: His Last Vow."

Cumberbatch also made waves as he accepted friend Tom Hiddleston's challenge to participate in the viral Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS awareness, shares Hindustan Times. The actor allegedly did the challenge five times, one of which was done while he was naked. This would not be the first time Cumberbatch showed off his body, as the actor is versatile in his acting. The public figure is very private when it comes to his relationship status, however.

The British actor allegedly has a mystery blonde woman, according to KpopStarz.

If this mystery woman is indeed Cumberbatch's girlfriend, she has to be a "smart cookie" in order to keep up with the 38-year old actor. This is according to Cumberbatch's sister, Tracy Peacock-Tabernacle, who dished that the actor's previous relationships have fallen apart because "his girlfriends couldn't keep up with him." Cumberbatch's sister further adds that the actor would probably settle down with someone not in the acting industry. Peacock-Tabernacle describes Cumberbatch's supposed dream wife as "someone who was happy to hold the fort while he went off and pursued his career."

If that is his criterion, this relationship could be a serious one. "He's been seeing the lady in question for the past few months. She isn't in the public eye, and has quite a serious career, so is keep to remain anonymous for as long as possible," a source told ShowBizSpy
