The "Final Fantasy" series has been consistently popular for years. Now, with "Final Fantasy XV," Square Enix might need to rely on that popularity a little more than it usually does.

The game has been in development for years, and Square Enixwas set to release it this year, on PS4, PS3, Xbox One and PC. However, a combination of issues have caused the company to postpone it until 2015- predictions that a launch this year would fare poorly, and large competition from other big-name titles.

Now, in a report from Hallels, it has been revealed that Square Enix is planning to launch "Final Fantasy 15" in March of 2015. The company has just released their yearly fiscal results, which show that game sales have decreased, but they have not yet revealed what games they plan to release up until March of 2015.

According to those at Hallels, this may indicate that Square is planning a large game launch right at the end of March 2015, to cause a sharp upturn in their sales figures. The site also suggests that "Fina Fantasy XV" would launch alongside two other high-profile games, "Kingdom Hearts 2.5," and "Kingdom Hearts 3."

As "Kingdom Hearts" frequently features crossover characters from "Final Fantasy," launching all three games at the same time may generate even more buzz for all three games.

However, a conflicting report from KDramaStars indicates that the lack of a March 2015 schedule is more likely proof that "Final Fantasy XV" will not be launching until after that date. It's not yet clear which report is the accurate one, but a piece from Crave Online hints at a potential "Final Fantasy XV" appearance at this fall's Tokyo Game Show. This may be an indicator that the game would be releasing sooner (potentially in March) rather than later.
