"Joshifer" shippers are hopeful that BFFs Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson will finally start going out after rumors saying that Lawrence has broken up once again with beau Nicholas Hoult. Hoult, who co-stars with Lawrence in X-men, apparently ditched the "Hunger Games" star because of her ego.

Apparently, Hoult and Lawrence's rekindled romances is not working out, says Fashion & Style. The rumor has intensified after Lawrence was spotted arriving solo at a New York City airport. According to rumors, Hoult was the one who broke it off with Lawrence because the 22-year-old had an "obsession with the tinseltown scene," says a source quoted by Fashion & Style. Further rumors say that Hoult has been spotted getting cozy with Riley Keough, Lisa Marie Presley's daughter, at a party in NYC on Wednesday.

With this alleged development in the Hoult-Lawrence romance, many are hoping that Lawrence will start dating BFF Josh Hutcherson, who stars alongside her Katniss Everdeen as Peeta Mellark. Fans are not only thrilled by the onscreen chemistry of the two. According to Fashion & Style, "that chemistry also shows off-screen on the red carpet and during interviews."

Hutcherson has been transparent with his closeness with Lawrence. He even went as far as saying that he and Lawrence have "a friendship that's unparalleled with any other actor I've ever met before," he said in the "Catching Fire" DVD, says Fashion & Style. He continued, "It's special, unique... We're both very comfortable acting like crazy people."

Hutcherson and Lawrence were also winners at the Teen Choice Awards 2014, with Hutcherson getting the Best Actor in a Sci-Fi/Fantasy Movie and Lawrence winning Best Actress for the same category. Lawrence's win was also attributed to her role as Mystique in "X-Men: Days of Future Past", where she co-starred with Hoult. "Catching Fire" also won Best Movie in Sci-Fi/Fantasy.

There's one thing that could impede "Joshifer" happening though. That is the statement from a source that says, "Jen is still desperately trying to get back with Nicholas after he broke up with her," says a different Fashion & Style article that also said Hoult is already moving on. Also according to the article, Hoult "hates how in love with fame Jen is, and he told her he hates dating an A-list actress." This apparently hurt Jen, who has worked hard to get to where she is.

While waiting for real-life romance to happen between Hutcherson and Lawrence, fans can watch out for "Mockingjay Part 1", which will hit theaters November 22, 2014.
