'The Hunger Games' lead actor Jennifer Lawrence is apparently up against The Twilight Saga actor Kristen Stewart. And the issue? Stewart will star opposite Lawrence's boyfriend, "Warm Bodies" star Nicholas Hoult. However, the two deny a rift between them.  

With everything being compared to The Twilight Saga, the two female actors have not escaped the ploy of the film industry to pit one lead against the other. As The Hunger Games made its mark, Lawrence proved to be likable, while Stewart's career took a step back. However, the two were not enemies. In fact, when the Twilight/Hunger Games feud started, Lawrence told Access Hollywood that she sent Stewart an email jesting about the issue, according to KpopStarz. The Hunger Games' Katniss Everdeen continued by saying that Twilight's Bella Swan replied back, implying that she understood how the film industry worked. The two had been exchanging emails since March of 2012.

Even after the Twilight films have concluded, however, the two were still reported to have a rift, this time because of Stewart starring opposite Lawrence's boyfriend, Nicholas Hoult. Apparently, Lawrence and Hoult also broke up because of this, which Lawrence dismissed in the June issue of Marie Claire magazine, KpopStarz reports in a different article. The Mockingjay star said that she and Hoult don't get mad when they didn't communicate constantly and that she trusts the "Warm Bodies" actor. Lawrence and Hoult co-star in X-Men as Mystique and Beast and the two broke up briefly before reuniting in 2013.

While the rumors said that Lawrence would make time to visit the set to keep an eye on Hoult and Stewart, Lawrence's friend told Gossip Cop that the rumor was "ridiculous". Hoult also clarified that Lawrence read the script and loved it.

Earlier rumors also spread that Lawrence was first considered for the role, but director Drake Doremus quickly refuted this by saying: "It became evident in my head that Nick and Kristen would have great chemistry".

The unlikely friends Lawrence and Stewart, despite what rumors say, cheer for each other, says KpopStarz. In fact, a witness related to Us Weekly that Stewart was cheering for Lawrence on winning an award as best actress. JLaw and KStew also apparently hung out with Emma Watson after the Toronto Film Festival.

In other news, Stewart is sporting a new hairstyle and making noise from her participation in Jenny Lewis's music video for "Just One of the Guys". In this video, Hollywood.com reports that Stewart is actually likeable while portraying a guitarist and wearing a retro-looking outfit as a male. Stewart is with Anne Hathaway, Brie Larson, and Jenny Lewis in the video.
