Hilary Duff has a new single, and it might be an allusion to her relationship with her ex-husband. The 26-year-old "Lizzy McGuire" star took to social media to promote "Chasing the Sun," providing a caption to the the album cover photo that read, "Alright..#chasingthesun available NOW on@itunesmusic"

Billboard said that the actress also went an extra mile to promote her new music, with her team hiring skywriting planes in some cities in the US. Moreover, Duff has also tapped her millions of fans to take photos of themselves when they spotted one of the skywriting planes her team has hired.

Duff's enthusiasm with her revitalized musical career might have been attributed to the fact that her personal life is also picking up. Since the announcement of her mutual separation from Mike Comrie in January, the two seemed to have been inseparable and have been cozy as of late, and maybe just not because of their responsibility to their growing toddler named Luca. Hollywood Life cited eyewitnesses who saw the former couple with their son in Beverly Hills enjoying dinner, with the pair showing a lot of PDA. 

Rumors about the two putting their divorce plans in the back burner have reached to new heights when an insider told Radar Online that the ex-couple hooked up in the Bahamas recently.

 The insider said, "Once they were together with their son Luca in the Caribbean, it got emotional and real. Mike broke down and begged Hilary for a second chance."

Does this mean that Duff will give her relationship with Comrie another go? Only time will tell, but she is sure inspired to work these days.

"I took a break from music for quite awhile, but it gave me the power to choose my next steps carefully and I'm really proud of the album I've made. 'Chasing the Sun' is a light and fun summer song that I hope helps people to feel a little more carefree," Duff has said about her latest single. 

Duff is currently finishing her fifth studio album, which will reportedly be released this fall.
