Filming for the third season of hit ABC musical drama series "Nashville" has started, and it's been confirmed that the show will return in September. Here's what we know so far.

Hayden Panettiere, who plays pop/country star Juliette Barnes, is pregnant with her first child with fiance Wladimir Klitschko. The actress has not given her exact due date. Insiders, however, are saying that it will most likely happen in March on April next year.

One of the biggest questions for the third season is if Panettiere's pregnancy will be written into the script.

When asked about Hayden's pregnancy being written into the third season's storyline, Sam Palladio (Gunnar) told Glamour, "Well at the moment I'm not sure. I think today we're supposed to get the first episode and read it and so I actually don't know what the plans are really. It would be interesting if they worked it in. It could be anybody's baby, really!"

The interview also revealed plans for the first episode of season three to be filmed live.

"It's a very exciting thing to try and accomplish, it sounds like it might be a little stressful to pull off...but also what a great way for audiences to see that we can do it for real, and because I think it's going to be a music section that's performed live, not the scenes," said Palladio.

Reports say that Gunnar and Scarlett may start spending more time this season. Palladio said in a separate interview with Metro that the two "will in one way or another come back together at least as musical partners."

Meanwhile, the show's Writers' Room have been posting a lot of exciting details about the upcoming season on their Twitter website.

"Nashville" will return to ABC on September 24, 2014.
