Apple's iOS has had a lion share of users throughout the years. With the operating system gaining an ecosystem of its own, there have also been countless applications developed in the name of it. Here are some top iOS applications that people can try:

1.)   Gist

-This is a news application that pulls in stories from Google News ranging from current events, tech, sports, entertainment, and all kinds of news. When you tap a headline, you will be shown a 5 sentence summary to give you the "gist" of the story. If you have read all the necessary information, you can move on to the next headline. If you want to read the whole article, one tap will load the whole article. 

2.)   Harmony

-This application is a game wherein your objective is to arrange blocks according to a palette of colors. Users may only move the blocks horizontally or vertically. The color palettes available range from 3 colors until 10 colors. Users will enjoy 1000 levels of this incredible game. 

3.)   Zoute

-A public transit application that helps you track bus and subway routes close to you. Zoute currently supports 8 cities in the United States, including New York, Boston, Washington, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Portland. This includes detailed schedules, stops within walking distance, and real time departure information. 

4.)   Dark Sky

-This application uses state of the art forecasting to provide weather predictions down to the minute. Dark Sky also displays a real time radar emission to show exactly where the storm is going, and sends out notifications when it is about to rain near you. 

5.)   CamDictionary

-CamDictionary can be very handy if you are fond of traveling or your work takes you to different countries. If you do not know how to speak the local language, CamDictionary will help you translate between 16 languages by simply hovering your phone's camera over text. The application also supports text-to-speech translating, and has multiple dictionaries, so you can study Chinese, Japanese, and other languages.
