Mobile startup firm URX received $12 mln investment

Mobile deep linking is a technology that makes use of clickable links similar to what people use through the web. However, the difference is that this it interconnects mobile apps through mobile deep links. Today, URX, a startup operating using the same technology, has announced that it has received a new funding valued $12 million. The investment was led by Accel

Partners and was joined by other financiers including SV Angel, First Round Capital and Google Ventures.
The funding round gave the company a value of $40 million. URX also took in Rich Wong to join its board of directors.

Currently, the company has already received $15 million worth of outside investment.

Upon its launching, the startup company URX was driven towards on e-commerce. However, the company stands out as it allows users to be redirected to a specific product page while using the app instead of simply directing prospects to the App Store.
