After being the subject of a high-profile domestic violence controversy, Gurbaksh Chahal has been terminated as the chief executive officer (CEO) of marketing automation firm RadiumOne. Security cameras reportedly caught Chahal, who pled guilty to the charges filed against him, beating his girlfriend in summer, according to VenutreBeat.

A portion of RadiumOne's statement about the termination says: "At a board meeting yesterday evening, RadiumOne's board of directors voted to terminate the employment of Gurbaksh Chahal as CEO and Chairman of the company. Bill Lonergan, the company COO, will take over as CEO of the Company immediately. Bill has an extraordinary professional background and has helped build Blue Lithium and RadiumOne into industry leading brands. We are confident he will continue Radium One's impressive trajectory."

Chahal had been the subject of online controversy and RadiumOne soon came under pressure to dismiss its CEO. In contrast to his guilty plea, Chahal maintained his innocence on Twitter, describing the incident as a "political witch hunt," the report detailed.

RadiumOne is a San Francisco-based firm that builds software that automates marketing programs for digital marketers. The company operates from its offices in the US, Canada, Australia, and Europe, VentureBeat added.
