CBS just released their mid-season schedule and the premiere date of "Person of Interest" Season 5 has been moved in summer 2016. This is because the previous season received low ratings plus the network prioritizes their own shows. Michael Emerson also shared some details about his character Harold Finch.

CBS finally announced their lineup for the mid-season and unfortunately, "Person of Interest" Season 5 is has not been included despite its scheduled launch in 2016. IB Times has mentioned that the sci-fi crime drama series premiere date has been pushed back. What led to the delay is that the show was not produced in-house by the said network since it was originally licensed from Warner Brothers Television.

CBS network strategizes to prioritize their own shows and that "Person Of Interest" Season 5 will only be inserted when free slots are available, particulary this summer 2016, where most series are done airing. With that being said, the cable network prefers to fill its timeslots with its original shows instead of scheduling TV series that is produced from a different channel.

Other than that, Yibada reports that "Person of Interest" has garnered low household ratings this year. Because of that from 22 episodes in its 4th season, CBS only ordered 13 episodes for the upcoming installment.

Meanwhile, lead actor Michael Emerson teased some details about what is going to happen with his character Harold Finch. Emerson stated, "Mr. Finch is kinda in a bad place. All the years he's been trying to keep that relationship non-personal, cool, professional. And yet, we see all this parental passion and caring." Realty Today has noted.

As of now, "Person of Interest" Season 5 is currently under production. The upcoming installment is slated to air anytime soon in summer 2016. "Person of Interest" (abbreviated as POI) is an American sci-fi crime drama created by Jonathan Nolan
