Mortal Kombat X kombatants will be getting new skins as confirmed by game director Ed Boon. Meanwhile, the tenth installment of the MK franchise is hailed as the no. 1 video game of Q3 2015 in US and Warner Bros. as the top publisher with $3.2 billion revenue.

Playstation Lifestyle reports that as of September 2015, Warner Bros saw its revenues increased by 15% primarily with the help of the sales of video games such as LEGO Dimensions, Mad Max, Batman: Arkham Knight, and the massively popular Mortal Kombat X.

Time Warner has also revealed that Mortal Kombat X is the number 1 video game of 2015 in US as of September 2015, and it appears that the cancellation on the development of the game for older consoles such as PS3 and Xbox 360 did not affect its sales. A previous report of the sales for Mortal Kombat X and Batman: Arkham Knight is said to have reached over five million and LEGO Jurassic World with over four million sales.

Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes stated jubilantly:

"We had another very good quarter, with Revenues up 5% and strong growth in Adjusted Operating Income, which totaled $1.8 billion. Our revenue growth was led by Warner Bros. and Home Box Office, and illustrated how our investments in great content have been paying off in our traditional television businesses, as well as in newer areas such as video games."

As reported earlier, as fans are still waiting for the revelation of the identities of the four fighters for the upcoming Kombat Pack 2 DLC and the announcement of its release date, the game's co-creator Ed Boon via Twiiter has confirmed that both fighters Takeda and D'vorah will be getting new skins.

Twitter fans were excited that some of them also asked for new skins for other Kombatants such as Sonya, Erron Black, Jacqui Briggs, and Cassie Cage. Unofficial Goro and Noob Saibot classic skins also circulated online, courtesy of PC modders.

Mortal Kombat X is released April this year by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for PS4, Xbox One and PC platform including a mobile version for Android as well as iOS devices.
