A team of explorers will venture into the home of the King of the Apes in the upcoming Kong: Skull Island. Will Brittain was recently added in the roster of cast members, while new photos have emerged from the film's set in Hawaii.

The film has added a new member to the cast in the person of Will Brittain. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Brittain is expected to play as a pilot alongside Corey Hawkins, and Jason Mitchell. He is the latest addition to the cast that includes Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Wilkinson, John C. Reilly, and Brie Larson among many others.

Filming for the upcoming big budget feature is underway in Hawaii where new photos from the set were released. As reported by Blastr, the photos came from the Reel Tours Hawaii and it features a King Kong sized pink skull.

A group photo of Samuel Jackson, Jason Mitchell, and Thomas Mann among many others  were also revealed. Aside from that Jackson also posted a photo suggesting that he is learning to maneuver a helicopter on his Instagram account which many considered to be a hint that he will be playing as a pilot in the film.

Moreover, Kong: Skull Island lead Tom Hiddleston also revealed the things that are not to be expected from the upcoming project. As reported by Cinemablend, Hiddleston stated that they are trying to provide something new in the myth of the gigantic ape.

"It's not set in the '30s. There's no movie director with a map. There's no out-of-work actress down on her luck. All of that stuff is respected, we're just trying to do something new with the myth because Kong is an icon of movies. I think he's someone people want to see again", Hiddleston said.

Kong: Skull Island is set to "fully immerse audiences in the mysterious and dangerous home of the king of the apes as a team of explorers ventures deep inside the treacherous, primordial island". It will be directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts and is set for theatrical release on March 10, 2017.
