Google CEO Sundar Pichai has publicly criticized the Gemini AI chatbot for creating 'woke' historical figures, stating that efforts are underway to address the "completely unacceptable" issue.

Last week, Google announced to invest $30 million to news organizations in Europe. This is a part of the Digital News Initiative plan launched by the Internet giant.

Google CEO Sundar Pinchai received his first equity award granted by Google's parent company, Alphabet, Inc. The $199 million amount was one of the biggest ever given by a U.S. company, making him one of the world's highest-paid executives. Besides Mr. Pinchai, other executives, including Diane Greene and Ruth Porat also received the award worth $42.8 million and $38.8 million respectively.

All the tech giants are investing heavily in the research and development of virtual and augmented reality products. Google has been reportedly planning a successor to the cardboard VR viewer. The smart phone based headset incorporating improved sensors and lenses will be housed in a solid plastic casing instead of a cardboard.

The giant tech company, Google had unveiled their latest android flagship during an event on October 29th. The company releases two new android phone the Nexus 5X and big-screened Nexus 6P. The event marks the first official gadgets release under the new CEO Sundar Pichai.

Google will install public Wi-Fi across 400 railway stations in India. Reports say this would be the largest public Wi-Fi in the country and certainly one of the largest in the world.

Google is sending media invitation for its event this coming 29th September. The event "a Morning Conversation about Some New Treats from Google" is expected to unveil new hardware produced by the company. News has been circulating that the company will unveil new Chromecast and new Nexus phone at the event.

Google is reportedly teaming up with Twitter to provide users with instant access to articles, reviving speculations the search giant may be acquiring the micro-blogging site. Re/Code reports the two tech giants are now working on a publishing tool that will enable users to view articles instantly on their mobile phones. That's a departure from the current set-up where users have to wait several seconds for a story to load.

Google Inc Chief Executive Officer Larry Page has put Sundar Pichai, one of his key lieutenants, in charge of the Internet company's products.

Sundar Pichai, a senior vice president at Google, has reportedly emerged as the leading candidate for Microsoft's chief executive officer post. Pichai is competing head-to-head with Microsoft insider Satya Nadella.

It seemed that Google has a two-pronged strategy in mind involving the Chromecast and Google TV.
