LG G4 has been confirmed the first device outside of Google's ownership to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow software next week in Poland and Taiwan. According to reports, the official over-the-air release of Marshmallow will kick off in US shortly after.

LG's mobile departments in Taiwan and Poland have already announced to officially begin rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow to G4 smartphones and the US office is expected to throw out the Marshmallow surprise the soonest or shortly after the two countries' release. As it was reported before, retail version shall get the update a few weeks earlier than mobile carriers'.

Poland has traditionally been the starting point of Android updates ever since and Marshmallow proves so. In a statement from an LG executive, the South Korean giant's pre-emptive move will purposely bring LG ahead of the game.

Meanwhile, T-Mobile is the first mobile carrier in the US to confirm the device for the Android 6.0 update through its inclusion in the roadmap list of the network. As expected, Marshmallow shall come with a host of new features and improvements to advance user experience.

Google Now transforms better with Now on Tap. It now offers various contexts and answers not to mention it also suggests actions to undertake.

Apps Permissions will allow device owners easier control of the permissions of downloaded apps. Owners have options either to allow or deny permissions. Apps Permissions is a must to all first time users of the feature, not at the point of installation.

A new battery saver called Doze uses motion detectors to control the device's power, especially when not in use. It removes background processes and begins alarms and informs owners of priority notifications.

Meanwhile, app drawer sports an all-new design ditching horizontal scrolls while replacing with vertical ones. The background is white to create a stark contrast with the scrolls. The improved app drawer shows four most recently used apps across the top of the menu.

If device has a fingerprint scanner, this features can be used for purchasing goods and services and unlocking device. Marshmallow also supports mobile payments through Visa, Discover, MasterCard, American Express and Google Pay.
