Apple is speculated to unveil another member of the iPad Air family, the iPad Air 3. This handset that is believed to hit the market sometime early 2016 is rumored to be engineered with A9 or A9X chipset, IP68 Compliant and 4 GB of RAM.

According to Realty Today, iPad Air 3's release was delayed as Apple gave way to iPad Pro and iPad Mini 4. The American tech giant is said to be undecided whether to set its release this year or early next year.

There were a lot of speculations about the iPad Air 3 which also include its specs. Thid gadget is believed to sport a 9.7-inch 4K capable, 3112 x 2334 pixel display screen. The display will also have a 401 ppi, that is much like the iPhone 6 Plus. As for the processor, the Air 3 will either be armored with an A9 or A9X chipset, which is the latest processor of Apple, and will work hand-in-hand with a 2 GB or 4 GB RAM.

Rumors stated, however, that nothing much will be improved when it comes to the camera. iPad Air 3 might be sporting an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2.1 MP for the front-facing camera good for FaceTime.  Unfortunately, this handset is said to be powered by a lower battery capacity than iPad Air 2's 7340 mAh.

In addition, some reports say that the new iPad Air 3 will also be IP68 compliant, which means the newest tablet by Apple will be waterproof and dustproof. A lower profile is expected with this new tablet, 5mm thick to be exact.

Moreover, Day Herald said on its article that with Apple is consistent regarding pricing, this means that the new iPad Air 3 will be priced around 399 pounds and  this device won't be arriving at a price lesser than that. It is also believed that Apple will ditch the 16GB and 32GB base models that will be practical solution since various apps and OS usually put in serious storage weight.

IT PRO further added that the iPad Air 3 might be called as iPad 7. This was due to the six existing models of the iPad. The original iPad, though there have been four generations, the iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 1, iPad Mini 2, and iPad Mini 3 which makes the forthcoming version the seventh iPad model to be released.

None of these specs and features were confirmed, however, by Apple. Hopefully, Apple will begin shedding some light to the specifics of iPad Air 3 soon.
