Adobe Systems Incorporated said that the company has agreed to acquire privately held Neolane. The latter operates as a software platform for managing digital marketing campaigns. The deal was priced at US$600 million in cash.

Adobe Systems Incorporated is the maker of Photoshop and Acrobat software. It stated that the acquisition of Neolane would lead the company to having capabilities in the critical cross channel campaign management of the Adobe Marketing Cloud. The Adobe Marketing Cloud is a set of tools encompassing analytics, targeting, advertising, and social as well as web experience management solutions.

Neolane operates a software platform for automation and execution of campaigns across the Web. It also include email, social, mobile, call center, direct mail and point of sale to its platform. The company's clients include Barnes & Noble and Bridgestone Tires.

The acquisition deal is expected to close next month. Adobe said that the said deal would not affect the company's revenue forecast and its adjusted financial results for the current fiscal year.

As a part of the acquisition agreement, Neolane Chief Executive Officer Stéphane Dehoche will continue the leadership of the firm.
