James Gunn, writer and director, is currently occupied with the development of the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2". While he is doing the works, he revealed that an actor in the movie has been giving him ideas and artwork on his social media account.

On James Gunn's official Facebook page, he posted the photo sent by Michael Rooker. The photo might as well be a spin-off of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" which has the title "Yondu: Portrait of a Ravager". Gunn captioned the photo with "#GotG spin-off? This is the kind of stuff Michael Rooker sends me at 3 am."

And just recently, he posted another photo on his Facebook page that they have finally arrived in Atlanta. It was reported before that the team had a getaway party as they leave to start production in Atlanta. The photo featured his backyard with trees and the sky reiterating that it is the perfect setting for his upcoming movie.

Although Gunn announced that he will unlikely have a lot of new characters in the movie, Movie Pilot reported that Klyntar/Venom symbiote may have its appearance in the "Guardians of the Galaxy 2". However, it might be a minor role with a few dialogues. As it was reported, the Venom is unlikely the main villain but fans may see him in a short scene just like Adam Warlock's cocoon in the first movie.

The purpose of this is to have a brief explanation of how the character's power works. With its appearance in the second installment of the Guardians, this will be an introduction to the concept of Venom displaying a possible accretion. The after its appearance in the "Guardians of the Galaxy 2", symbiote's story will advance.

Sources say that the second installment of the franchise movie was enhanced a bit. Cosmo will be having more screen time and most of the other major characters. Moreover, the film will be an approach on Star-Lord's promise of heritage.

With a release on 2017, it seemed like the production is way too early. However, Gunn indicated that they will be staying in Atlanta for 10 months for the shooting.
