Fans who have been looking forward to Tekken 7 to arrive on PS4 and Xbox One could have tuned in for the much awaited release date news during the Tokyo Game Show 2015 where game and producer Katsuhiro Harada had been confirmed to make an appearance.

Unfortunately, no details came out as Tekken 7 was not part of Bandai Namco titles that were presented at the event and was absent, reports Christian Today which cited  an earlier report from GameNGuide that Bandai Namco's brawler game would be making an appearance at this year's TGS as well as Harada who was predicted to be making an important announcement for fans.

Instead, the publisher showcased other upcoming big titles namely, Disney Infinity 3.0, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, God Eater Resurrection, and Digimon World: Next Order.

Official release details of the game's console versions have been really scarce from the time Harada revealed that Tekken 7 will hit PS4 and Xbox One. Meanwhile, there is an ongoing buzz among fans on forums speculating that the game will not release in 2015 and that maybe due to a PC port being developed for the game.

In previous report from GameNGuide, Bandai Namco is claimed to be planning a PC version, however, the game developer has neither confirmed nor denied this rumor as of yet. If and when this speculation is close to the truth, the development of PC port could have caused the push back of Tekken 7 launching to current gen consoles in early 2016.

IGN  noted that the game had been released in Japan since February and the game's arcade version had landed in the U.S. for various fighting game competition events, i.e. 2015 EVO Tournament held in Las Vegas last July.

Other than Tekken 7, games such as Kingdom Hearts 3 and The Last Guardian had not appeared at the prestigious Tokyo Game Show 2015 held last September 17 to 20.
