'Deadpool' has been gathering positive publicity, as many look forward to the breath of fresh air Ryan Reynolds will bring as the Merc with a Mouth. The movie has been a long time coming, and Reynolds talked about why this generation is loving 'Deadpool' even before its movie premiere.

As reported by The Telegraph UK, 'Deadpool' has been getting a lot of momentum, most especially when trailers of Reynolds in the red suit came out. Aside from being witty, funny and fearlessly mature, Reynold thinks the "meta aspect" also accounts for the growing anticipation for 'Deadpool'.

Dubbed as Merc with a Mouth, 'Deadpool' is the superhero that loves wisecracks and who breaks the Fourth Wall. With the film adapting this, Reynold's character speaks to the audience "outside of the narrative" and makes them feel that the guy in the red suit is one of them.

In an interview with GQ Magazine, Reynolds revealed that 'Deadpool' has been a passion project for him that was 6 years in the making. Saying it was a bit like a "dream come true", he mentioned that 'Deadpool' is "funny and acerbic and a little bit of a head case" and maybe also why he will be a breath of fresh amidst a bombardment of superhero movies.

When asked about failing superhero movies, like 'Fantastic Four' and his own 'Green Lantern' movie, Reynolds commented 'Deadpool' is saying the things typical more conventional superheroes wouldn't say. In a comparison with Reynolds himself, GQ says 'Deadpool' can refreshingly be "irreverent, wisecracking, subversive, and not too taken with [oneself]"

While the 'Deadpool' movie is from 20th Century Fox, and is not part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However in the latest Marvel comics' issue of 'Deadpool' vs Thanos, 'Deadpool' gets to face the big bad villain of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to IGN, they aren't just facing each other, but are uniting for a common cause, temporarily. While at present this is not possible in the MCU, who knows when Fox and Marvel strike up a deal in the future, like it did with Spiderman.

'Deadpool' is about Wade Wilson, a former special forces who undergoes an experiment to cure his cancer. More than healing him, he gains "accelerated healing powers" and a disfigured appearance. While the character is not trying to be liked, he has become one well-loved character due to his twisted humor, unapologetic demeanor and quick wit. Moviegoers are set to see this 'Deadpool' in Ryan Reynolds by February 12, 2016.
