Leaks of Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 had surfaced around the net. Mi Pad 2 is rumored to run Windows 10 instead of Android.

Reportedly, Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 will come in a bigger display size than its predecessor. Although it has not been confirmed, WCCFtech noted that the latest device will have a screen size of 10 inches which will be placed in a direct competition with the Surface Pro 4 of Microsoft. 

However, Surface Pro 4 has the advantage in terms of sales since it was released earlier. Unless, Mi Pad 2 would have tremendous amount of fans and boosts its sales tremendously from the day of release which sound impossible.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 is expected to come with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, along with a much bigger screen size compared to its predecessor. According to the source of WCCftech, the gadget will be able to run both Windows 10 and the latest version of Android, which could either be Android 5.1 Lollipop or Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

In contrast to what WCCFtech speculated, the Mi Pad 2 will ship in two variants but will not sport dual boot, according to Android Headline. The rumor also suggests that the Mi Pad 2 will come in both Windows 10 and Android versions, considering the Windows 10 variant is now being tested by Xiaomi. The two variants of Mi Pad 2 will be powered by one of Intel's chips. 

The original Mi Pad sported a 7.9-inch display and its successor will either keep that display size or will ship with a bigger panel, according to the report's source. However, Android Headline guessed that latter variant will sport the bigger size. 

On the other hand, Tech Times has reported that the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 will sport dual-boot functionality and  is more likely to be engined with Intel 14nm processor.

The Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 is also expected to feature 13MP main camera with 2560 x 1440 screen resolution. It might sport an all-metal design to show premium look. It is suggested that Xiaomi might announce the Mi Pad 2 on September 24 along with the Mi4c smartphone.
