Huawei Technology Co. endeavors to enter the US phone market through the Huawei Nexus 6 in collaboration with Google. The Huawei Nexus 6 expected to launch on September 29 allegedly packs in 3 GB RAM and Android M, yet its Snapdragon 810 chipset might cause problems.

A recent Geekbench benchmark result showed specifications of a device codenamed "Angler", reported Phone Arena. Believed to be the Huawei Nexus 6, the device carried 3 GB RAM, an octa-core CPU running at 1.55 GHz, Adreno 430 GPU, Android M, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 810.

The Snapdragon 810 has a bad reputation for overheating and causing phones to malfunction. This was experienced firsthand by users of devices powered by the problematic processor like Sony Xperia Z3+. There are reports saying that Google and Huawei are optimizing the chipset for better performance, yet the Snapdragon 810 could turn off consumers and threaten Huawei Nexus 6 sales.

According to the International Business Times, Huawei's partnership with Google is a start for the company's successful penetration to the US market. Huawei wants to create a halo effect for its smartphones in America, not necessarily to sell lots of Huawei Nexus 6 handsets.

On the other hand, Google, who is rumored to launch a Chinese Google Play Store, has plans to get back to the Chinese market. The Huawei Nexus 6 partnership can be considered a win-win condition for both parties.

Google also partnered with Korean company LG to create the LG Nexus 5X which will accompany the Huawei Nexus. LG Nexus 5X is smaller than Huawei's and runs the safer Snapdragon 808. Its benchmark result showed the LG garnering a single-core score of 1082 and multi-core score of 3298. On the other hand, the Huawei Nexus 6 gained a total single-core tally of 1156 and a multi-core score of 3641.

Recently, an unnamed Chinese source allegedly leaked one of the first photos of the Huawei Nexus as per a report by Know Your Mobile. It showed the Nexus handset sporting a metal body with a multi-layered back panel and a simple front design.

@onleaks released images of the Huawei Nexus 6's rumored casing. The photos show a transparent silicon or plastic-like case with cut-outs for the fingerprint scanner and camera.

The Huawei Nexus 6 will likely sell for $450 while its LG Nexus counterpart can be purchased for $400. Both devices will be unveiled on September 29 and pre-orders begin on October 13.
