'Fast and Furious 8' Cast Update: Old and new characters to sizzle in New York City, Frachise to finally reach its end?

Another heart pumping race, this time in the streets of New York, is about to grace the big screen as "Fast and Furious 8" returns on 2017. Director James Wan will bring Vin Diesel's crew into even greater heights together with new characters and old nemesis and allies as the series draws closer to its end. However, Wan believed that Director Justin Lin is still the best person to conclude the much-supported movie franchise.

Everyone thought that "Fast and Furious 7" was the last of the FF series. But little did they know that FF7 was supposed to be the first part of a trilogy according to Ecumenical News. But with the tragic death of Paul Walker, Universal Studios chose to have the ending as a tribute to him. The loss of Walker resulted in a positive result for the movie. FF7 raked in $1.5 billion worldwide and ranked as the 5th highest grossing movie of all time. Vin Diesel, the lead protagonist in the film shares details about the upcoming Fast and Furious film in Jimmy Kimmel Live! He said that Kurt Russel will play a significant character in the eight sequel. 

Movie News Guide reveals more details about the upcoming FF series. Ruby Rose from OITB might be part of the upcoming movie which will be directed by James Wan.  Rose has already auditioned for the part. However, there are no details of her particular role and if she has already accepted the part. Michelle Rodriguez, one of the original cast of FF series believes that the next film would be huge if the strong female actresses were added to the film. Her person of choice is Angelina Jolie.

Cinema Blend mentions the possibility of Lucas Black and Eva Mendes returning to the series. Lucas Black previously confirmed that he has signed up for the next FF trilogy. As for Eva Mendes, she may tie up again with Don (Vin Diesel) as U.S. Customs Agent Monica Fuentes to work on an underground crime organization. Director James Wan also said that director Justin Lin would be the "perfect choice" to end the series. Finally, Vin Diesel hinted that the setting of the upcoming movie will be in the streets New York. It will be interesting to see if the Don and the rest of the crew can be fast in streets of Midtown Manhattan.

As the Fast and Furious franchise approaches to its conclusion, new faces and old allies are expected to return to create mayhem and excitement in the streets of New York. Director James Wan will once again lead Vin Diesel and the rest of the gang into another exciting and heart-pounding ride as they hit and conquer the big screens, once again, as the movie hits theaters on April 14, 2017.
