"Vikings" Season 4 will be about King Ragnar Lothbrok running into a lot of troubles such as losing his trust to his people. He will reportedly be dethroned and his son Bjorn is rumored to be taking over in ruling the Vikings.

In a report by Christian Today, King Ragnar Lothbrok will be attacking France in an attempt to take over the area. However, it will not be smooth-sailing as he and his sons will be facing problems most especially regarding King Lothbrok's health. Due to this, he will be ousted by his people and his son Bjorn is reported to take over the throne to rule the Vikings.

However, it will not be easy for Bjorn to take over the throne as he and his siblings will be feuding about it. Bjorn's brother, Ivor, will be the one who will be having a bad blood with the soon-to-be king of the Vikings. In Season 4, Bjorn will not only try to gain the trust of his people but will also grieve from the loss of his wife.

In another report, series creator Michael Hirst said, "It's not just going to be a Viking army coming up the Seine towards us. It's going to be Ragnar Lothbrok." Aside from Lothbrok advancing to Paris, he will also be linked to a new woman. Vine report shared that he will be captivated by a newcomer, Yidu. Yidu is a slave captured by slavers but that was not always the case. Lothbrok will be interested in her as she will be sharing to him her vast knowledge.

Meanwhile, Crossmap reported that "Vikings" Season 4 will see new faces namely Peter Franzen, Jasper Paakkonen and Dianne Doan. Doan will play the part of the Chinese slave, Yidu while Franzen will be the Scandinavian warrior King Harald Finehair. As for Paakkonen, he will be the young brother of King Harald.

"Vikings" season 4 will mainly focus on the sons of King Ragnar Lothbrok having a feud as they all want to rule their people after their father gets dethroned. The series will be back in HBO by 2016.
