A couple of weeks ago, Apple released a couple of updates for the devices which includes the iOS 8.4.1 update for the iPhone, iPod, and iPads. The update is not much of an improvement since it is targeted to improve the device's music application, that's it, or is it.

According to Forbes, the update will fix issues of the iCloud's Music Library and put right the issue that hides the music when Apple Music is set to offline music only. Aside from the fixes, the update also provided a new way to add songs to a new playlist only when it's not present.

Basically, the update provides fixes and minimal improvement on the phone's music application. Now, since the improvements and fixes have been laid down, here's why the update angered those who updated their phones.

On a separate report by Forbes, the update did not only fix the Music App but also introduced tons of new bugs which are not present before the update, like Battery Drain, Broken iTunes Bluetooth synching, Intermittent Wi-Fi, Phone freezes when making calls and accessing SMS, and Slowdown Bugs (most specially on screen rotation).

In addition, the update's promise to fix the Make Available Offline glitch and missing album artwork still exists as well as the WiFired bug that has pestered the iOS 8 users since its release about a year ago (September 2014).

In related news, Gotta Be Mobile published an article which is very helpful for those who are thinking to get the update in order to prevent the difficulty that those who updated had experienced after the update.

Gotta Be Mobile suggests that if a user is not a big Music App user then don't do the update. They also pointed out that the update should be halted if the device will be involved in long uses, like work or school as well as if you use the phone to travel.

Another thing that Gotta Be Mobile cited was the update's ability to erase the jailbreak of the device, if the device is jailbroken the update will break the jailbreak and worst, the jailbreak cannot be reversed and there's the need to wait for the next jailbreak, if it will come, to do it on the device.

The iOS 8.4.1 update promised tons of improvement on the device which Apple did an excellent job of its marketing that users bought it very quickly. However, the promised improvement turned out to be worst and has brought new and more complex issues. As of this time, Apple has yet to issue a statement about the company's disappointing iOS 8.4.1 update.
