After just a year in the mobile game market, Elex's Clash of Kings announced to have reached 65 million downloads. The number of downloads includes on both Android and iOS platforms. The success was announced Monday in a company press release.

To celebrate this important milestone, Elex is releasing an important update that also contains gifts for the players.

The game was first released in 2014 August for the Android platform followed in December for the iOS. It is currently considered as one of the top 5 grossing apps encompassing more than 70 countries.

Elex claims more than 900 billion troops have already fought on Clash of Kings and if the sum of the time spent by players playing the game is computed, it would be equivalent to more than 20,000 years.

Clash of Kings is dubbed as a knockoff of another very popular game Clash of Clans. It is a strategy game set in a fantasy medieval world. The game starts with the player as a king taking back his castle that was just recently invaded, and building it back from the ashes.

The player rebuilds his empire by constructing Farms and Sawmills, also called resource buildings. This review said that rebuilding the city can be a very slow process.

Although the game can be downloaded for free, it also comes with in-app purchases that can help hasten things up. The game also has social features as players form alliances, which can help provide support to construct buildings.

The game appeals to players who like multiplayer online games. The graphics are also vibrant and even look almost HD.
