EPiServer disclosed its purchase of Euroling, the Sweden based search provider. IK Investment Partners supported EPiServer in this acquisition. It was clarified that after the purchase, EPiServer will uphold in serving the partners and clients of Euroling's wholly owned subsidiary.

Since the two companies have combined shares, it was agreed that either one can propose opportunities and developments to enhance its operations for discussion. EPiServer's acquisition will be good leverage for its recent service offerings since Euroling's search technology, SiteSeeker, will empower its existing group of search capabilities.

EPiServer CEO Martin Henricson said, "The search market has become increasingly competitive and in those market conditions, you either focus on improving efficiency or there is a natural drive towards consolidation. As we have joint customers and partners, it was easy to see the business case for this acquisition. In addition, EPiServer has an established market position which can be leveraged for the restructured subsidiary and for efficiently supporting the stakeholders."

Mr. Henricson further explained, "From a technology perspective, we know customers have to analyze an abundance of data faster and use that information to present a unique and personal online experience to their visitors. This initiative enables us to improve the customer experience by delivering the best and most appropriate results to the visitor through advanced search functionality."
