"Fifty Shades Darker" may be given an R-21 Rating as it reportedly features more and longer explicit scenes between Jamie Dornan's Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson's Anastasia Steele. E.L. James' upcoming sequel is expected to open in cinemas on February 2017.

The fans that were not contented of the controversial couple's limited exposure together in this year's pilot film may satisfy themselves in its highly anticipated sequel.  Yibada reports that "Fifty Shades Darker" may feature extensive steamy scenes between its two main characters, Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. This is predicted to be triggered by the new faces that will be introduced in the second installment of E.L. James' erotic-romantic franchise.

It is noted that more characters may be possibly introduced in the next film, including Grey's ex-dominatrix, Mrs. Robinson; his former submissive, Leila Williams; and Ana's sexually obsessed boss, Jack Hyde. Movie News Guide predicts that their appearances will cause more tension to the couple, prompting Grey and Steele to have more intimate make-up scenes. Also considering Steele's acceptance of Grey's vicious sexual fetishes, it is expected for "Fifty Shades Darker" to be more sexual.

Because of these revealing and scandalous scenes, the upcoming movie may be released to a more limited audiences compared to the first film. It was noted that "Fifty Shades of Grey" already had a less restrictive R Rating despite the short exposure of the explicit scenes. Now that its sequel is slated to show more and longer ones, it is believed to receive an R-18 and R-21 Rating.

Meanwhile, there is still no director attached to helm the movie. However, Jamie Dornan ("Once Upon A Time"), Dakota Johnson ("21 Jump Street"), Eloise Mumford ("So Undercover"), and Rita Ora ("Southpaw") have already signed to return.

Based on the screenplay penned by Niall Leonard, "Fifty Shades Darker" is expected to hit the big screen on February 10, 2017.
