Apple is recently rumored to come up with another innovation in its upcoming iPhone 7 making it as the world's first solar-powered handheld device. Apple is widely known to be the leader of innovations, from the latest smartphone technologies to the camera, to screen, name it, and they have almost pioneered the latest in the industry.

DayHerald published a report in relation to Apple's rumored solar powered iPhone 7. The solar powered iPhone 7 is rumored to never need the aid of a charger since it will be using the power of the sun to run it. The report also said that the technology, that apparently Apple will be using in this innovation is the sub touchscreen solar power technology.

In addition, it is also rumored that Apple already received a patent for it. Although this innovation, according to DayHerald, is environmental friendly, the innovation might be far from reality due to some technology issues that comes with it, particularly in the mobile phone industry.

Another tech website echoed the concern of DayHerald with regards to Apple's solar powered iPhone 7. NetworkWorld said that due to the technical difficulties of the solar power technology the solar powered iPhone 7 is still far from reality.

However, the tech website pointed out that if in case this will push through and will happen, they hope that it will finally address Apple's issue with regard to the battery life of Apple products in general.

On the other side of the fence, GreenTechMedia, failed not mention that it is not possible for the iPhone 7 to be powered by solar. The website also reported about Apple's grant for the patent on the solar panel technology that will be hidden underneath the touch sensitive surfaces.

This touch sensitive displays can be found on MacBook's trackpad, iPhone, iPad, and Apple watch's touch screen technology. The website also said that the patent claimed that the solar panel will recharge the device throughout the day.

Regardless if this rumor is true or not, one thing is certain.  Apple may have again stepped further in developing another technology that will put them in the top spot and miles away from their competitors. Maybe for now, this is not possible and not even in the next 3 or 4 years, but the fact that it is already introduced in the market, the possibility of the technology is not that impossible.
